Transcender: First-Timer by Vicky SavageMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
Something about a strong female lead always gets me glued to a book. Jaden Beckett is mentally strong, physically attractive and emotionally vulnerable. Perfect ingredients for a good story. Jaden's life is thrown into chaos and I especially liked the the whole other world Vicky Savage created in favour of this chaos.
Her writing style is strong and her descriptions although dotted with adjectives has a strong attraction for readers. Some characters and elements of the world could have used more detailed explanations but I am assuming Savage needs something for the other books in the trilogy.
Overall, it was a good read and I will definitely read other books by this author or within the same series.
Would I recommend this read? Yes but this book has a cliffhanger ending. The second book is already available so that's not too big a deal.
