#BookReview - Shelf Life (The Publicist #2) by @publicistgal #Romance #ReviewShare

Shelf Life (The Publicist #2)Shelf Life by Christina George
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I hadn't read Book 1 when we started discussing the Publicist #2. Did it still flow? It did but there were some unanswered questions about Kate's job and personality so we went back and read the first book. Kate is a strong heroine in a world that ready to fall over any minute.

Does she stand up for herself or run and hide? The push and pull relationship she had with Mac was a lot like the one High Grant had with Bridgette in Bridgette Jones Diary. You know he's absolutely wrong for her and yet he walks in and you think, just maybe.

I liked the multiple POVs although I did feel Kate to be sometimes cold. Then again after years of working in a cut-throat industry, who won't be a little cold. The scene when Mac leaves was especially revealing about Kate's true emotions because it is at that moment you know she is ready to break down and when she does, you can't help but sniffle too.

Would I recommend this read? Yes. Christina George has pieced together a story that is well-written and captures the reader's heart.

Overall assessment:
Content: 4/5
Editing: 4/5
Formatting: 4/5
Pacing: 4.5/5
Offensive content?: Based on language, settings and some hotness, I would recommend this book to adult readers only.

Disclosure: I received a review copy of this book from the author. I did not receive any payment in exchange for this review nor was I obliged to write a positive one.
