7 Questions with #Author Kate LeDonne @OriginlBookGirl #AmReading #Fiction

1) How do you work through self doubts and fear?
Ah yes. Frustration, fear and doubt. The writer's trifecta. I cry, I sing along with songs that make me feel better (usually in my car), and I do yoga or go for a walk with headphones on. I also write in a personal journal. If I'm really struggling, I get on Twitter and howl. Someone almost always makes me laugh, and I move on.
2) What scares you the most?
People killing each other and being violent. Really big spiders. Snarling, barking dogs that are running loose. My books not being read.
3) What makes you happiest?
Sunlight, beautiful beaches, my husband, my daughter, beauty in nature, and dark chocolate. Also, when someone reads my book and tells me it changed things for them, made them feel better or less alone and more understood.
4) What’s your main character's greatest strength?
I would say my main character, Kiera Grave's, tenacity and stubbornness. That girl just won't stay down.
5) Which character has the weakest traits and what are they?
My weakest character in this novel I would say is Dana Graves. She's completely spineless and reckless, a really dangerous combination.
6) Why do you write?
Life is crazy. I've met too many interesting people and had too many experiences to not empty out my head from time to time. It's all about making good art, and telling stories.
7) Have you always enjoyed writing?
Yes. I was always a bookworm and used to get busted all the time on my report cards for “daydreaming”. I was creating whole other worlds.

The bit about spiders, I imagined them snarling and barking. *shudders*.
