What makes you happiest? My family. I have a wonderful and supportive family. I’m blessed to have them and I know it.

Why do you write? I write to hush the voices in my head. LOL. My characters are very talkative and the more I ignore them the louder they tend to get. I write because I have to get their story down and told. I also like the creative process of building a new world and being able to manipulate the world to a point. I say to a point because if I don’t go with the flow of my characters mood or personality the writing will come to a grinding halt. There was a scene in Dangerously Yours that took forever to write. It wasn’t a particularly hard scene. I wanted Kane to tell Sa’Mya about his deceased wife. No matter what angle I tried to work the scene I kept getting stuck. I was able to get it flowing again only after I realized that Kane didn’t want to talk about his wife.

Have you always enjoyed writing? Absolutely. I’ve always loved to create new worlds and characters. Dangerously Mine, the first book in the Loving Dangerously series was the first book that I ever finished. There was something very satisfying when I finished it. It was something that I wanted to do but never had time to see through. I’m glad that I did it and accomplished the small feat. I love writing and I love creating.

What motivates you to write? Getting the story told. I feel like I have a ton of stories stored in my head that need to come out. I’ve got stories seeping out of my ears. LOL. If I write stories then one day I might have room for something else. Maybe a second language? Hola, me llama Griffin.
What writing are you most proud of? My first book in the Loving Dangerously series, Dangerously Mine. It’s the first book that I ever finished and the first book that I got published. That one will forever be my baby.

What are you most proud of in your personal life? I’m proud of my kids. I have some wonderful little heathens. I know it sounds strange to use wonderful and heathens in the same sentence but it works for my crew. My kids know that I write science fiction erotica and they understand what erotica is. I’m not embarrassed about what I write and am happy to be afforded the opportunity to do so. But I am proud of them because they are proud of me.

What books did you love growing up? I loved anything racy. I read Judy Bloom’s books and anything else where I could thumb through and find a sex scene. My grandmother read a lot-she still does. I’d go through her house looking for those books that children weren’t supposed to have and find a good hiding spot and read through it in a blaze. I guess that’s how I learned how to read so fast. I had to get through it before anyone caught me and took it away. She’s in her 80’s and I can still find her sitting in her Lazy-Z-Boy with a racy book in her hand. It cracks me up.

Who is your favorite author? I have a lot of favorite authors but my all-time favorite hands down is Dean Koontz. I can never go wrong with one of his books. If he takes too long to come out with a book I used to find myself reading his early works over again. *Write Dean, write*

What book genre of books do you adore? Adore? I would have to say regency romance. Either set in the Victorian age or of the Scottish Highlands. I read paranormal, science fiction and contemporary, but I adore those historicals.
