Author Interview – CS Patra

What is your favorite quality about yourself? I think my best quality is the fact that I never want to give up, no matter what the odds are like. There are moments where I feel down and I want to quit everything I’ve done. But then I bounce back and keep working harder than ever.

What is your least favorite quality about yourself? Sometimes, I have a tendency to rush into things and not take time to look over it. I picked it up from my family who also like to rush through everything. It’s something I’m still working on to this day. I also expect too much of myself and I need to learn to be satisfied with what I have.

What is your favorite color? Green! I’ve always been fond of green, especially mint green.

What is your favorite food? I will confess I’m a picky eater but I really like Mexican food (tacos, quesadillas, burritos, etc) and pasta. Oh, and I can never give up Chinese food or ice cream.

When and why did you begin writing? I started writing a long time ago and I was always interested in it. However, I didn’t get serious about it until I was a little older. It wasn’t until I was 18 that I really wanted to write more and get published. I wrote and completed my first novel back then. It was all hand-written in multi-colored pens too.

How long have you been writing? Oh gosh, I’ve been writing for so long. I tried writing a lot in elementary and middle school but put it aside until later in life. I picked it back up again after high school and I haven’t stopped since.

What genre are you most comfortable writing? I really like to write paranormal stories and mysteries/suspense related things. I’m also very fond of writing fantasies and have started to get more interested in sci-fi. I used to do a lot of horror in the past but I’ve kinda slowed down. I’ve also slowed down with writing poetry although I might pick that up again.

People say they will do just about anything for love. Some might go far enough to try and find the impossible. Some will stop at no lengths for the one they love. When Ian Choi’s girlfriend gives him the most difficult task…find her someone, a vampire, to turn her immortal…he is faced with a choice he never imagined he’d have to make. And little does he know just what could happen while he’s trying to make her wish come true.
